It's large enough to fit on her queen-size bed, and hangs over on each side by about 1 1/2 houses. So these pictures are deceiving, but it's BIG.
Sometimes I like my backs better, and this is one of those times. Many of these smaller houses on the back were made by RI Modern Quilt Guild members in a bee I participated in.
I tried to mimic the beach. White sand, beach houses, seaweed, ocean, and deeper ocean.
And the label.

This is such a perfect beach house quilt!! I really like the way you've captured the beachy colours.
ReplyDeleteI think I love the back better too, really it is a reversible quilt. Great way of doing the label too, I have seen that before but always forget about making it like that until after the binding has been finished.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Jodi! I love the back as well :)
ReplyDeleteThere is something about house quilts I find hard to resist and this one is really lovely! Great back too.
ReplyDeleteYep, the back is a winner. :-)
ReplyDeleteA lovely finish... very 'beach-y'!
ReplyDeleteHi Jodi, I am so happy to meet . . . I just happened onto your blog from a sister blogger. I love that your quilt is as pretty on the back as it is on the front. I'm sure that your sister-in-law will enjoy displaying both sides. I always get excited when I find another happy quilter.
ReplyDeleteYour newest blogging sister,
Connie :)
