I purchased this kit from GloriousColor.com over a year ago because I fell in love. The pattern is by Julie Stockler. Oh, and did I mention that grandson number two will be here at the end of August? So, because these fabrics are so not boy, at least not in my little speck of earth, (not to mention, my daughter, grandson's mom, does not love this quilt like I do), I'm making it for some dear friends' daughter who had a baby girl, Olivia, back in May.
Even though I have about, ahem, ten other projects going that I need to start/finish, I just had to make little Olivia a quilt. I hope to meet her soon!
I didn't realize that the pattern has you, me, really, sew each little 2 1/2" square together separately. I thought it was going to be done like a trip around the world. Note to self: check out how a quilt kit is put together before purchasing. Ha! It's fun anyway, just a bit tedious. And with all these Kaffe Fassett fabrics, who can go wrong! I love the paperweight fabric in ANY color, they're all gorgeous!
Nice tarrying with you for a bit this morning. May you have a blessed day! Jodi
I can see why you liked this kit--adorable fabrics and what a lovely gift!

I'm not a kit person myself - I've never bought one - but I sure can see why you were attracted to these colors. Your daughter just hasn't yet acquired your excellent taste in fabric choices! Try to enjoy all that piecing. Your friend and her daughter will surely love this quilt.
