The below quilt blocks are made with men's shirts that were either given to me or I purchased at Saver's or Salvation Army stores.
I'm making it for one of my son's best friends who has often been interested in my quilting and I know would like a quilt but doesn't want to come right out and ask.  Some of the fabrics are very funky.  I think once it's all put together it will be kind of cool.  I'm using a pattern from Bonnie Hunter's book, "Scraps and Shirttails, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle"

                                                                      I hope he likes it!

  2. Very cool! You're so frugal to take the time to cut up shirts and repurpose them this way. I love it! And so will your son's friend... I have no doubt!

  6. Lovely quilt. There's something special about quilts made with old clothes. The sashing shows off each block nicely.
