To enlarge or not to enlarge, that's the question.

This quilt top is on my waterbed (thus the lumpiness) right now.  It's for my son's good friend and I'm trying to decide whether or not to put some borders on it.  I actually should find out what size his bed is - duh!

This is the "Nifty Thrifty" pattern from Scraps & Shirttails, one of Bonnie Hunter's books.  It's all men's shirts that I picked up here and there.  I'm sure I showed you some blocks somewhere along the way.  I hope to finish it this Saturday at the RI Modern Quilting Guild's Sewing Day at Ryco, or at least come close to completion.
I hope you are well!  May you bless and be blessed!

  2. So neat, Jodi! You're making the quilt in an old-fashioned way... repurposing fabrics. Must mean that fabrics for the quilt didn't cost as much as new yardage, so you've been frugal. Good for you! The Central Florida MQG is having a Sew-In this Saturday too. Will be thinking of you having fun, just as I will.

  3. That looks great, Jodi! I think I'd add a border. I just deboned my first shirt recently. I haven't started picking up shirts at thrift shops yet. So far, I'm just saving my husband's and son's shirts.
