Medallion block - Stitched in Color

 I signed up for Rachel's Handstitching online class, www.StitchedinColor.com and I'm loving it.  This is the beginnings of a medallion quilt.

I forgot how much I like doing embroidery.  On the plain white border up above will be more embroidered lines, satin and jewels.  

Anyone else taking one of Rachel's classes?  She is also teaching a curves class.
